Terms of use

Terms and refunds, in plain words.

What you are buying, what it will and will not do, and how to get your money back.

The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and the independent developer who makes and runs Memory Care Runway Planner ("we", "us"). By buying a license or using the planner, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the planner. If you have already paid, the refund section below applies.

You must be an adult to buy a license. The planner is offered to people in the United States.

What this is, and is not

Memory Care Runway Planner is planning education software. It does arithmetic on figures you enter and organizes them into a report. It is not a law firm, an attorney, a financial adviser, or a medical provider, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship.

The planner is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. It does not give legal, financial, tax, or medical advice, and it does not tell you which Medicaid strategy to use. It does not say when Medicaid could start or whether anyone qualifies. Medicaid rules differ by state and change. Take the report to a licensed elder-law attorney in your parent's state before acting on it.

Your figures

The report is only as good as the numbers entered. You check and confirm every figure before anything is calculated. The results are estimates. Dates and months in the report are projections from those figures, not guarantees. Facility rates, income, and balances change, which is why the license includes re-runs.

Your figures and your plan are kept in your own browser. We do not hold a copy and cannot restore one. Print the plan or save it as a PDF if you need a record. The privacy policy says what goes where.

The license

One payment covers one household's use of the planner, with 12 months of re-runs from the date the license is issued. A household means one parent, or one couple, and the family members helping them. After that term, the planner still opens your existing plan.

An optional membership at $59 a year is planned, to keep state rules current after the first 12 months. It is not on sale yet. Nothing renews by itself, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy something.

Founding families are also promised the attorney-reviewed rule pack for their state as a free update when it is ready. There is no date for it yet.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the home page. Payment is taken once, by Stripe, on Stripe's own checkout page. Your license is sent by email, by hand, to the address you paid with. That can take some hours. If it has not arrived by the next day, check your spam folder and write to support@calleditnow.com.

Refunds

Full refund if you cannot finish a report. Write to support@calleditnow.com from the address you paid with and say what stopped you. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. How long the money takes to appear depends on your bank.

AI services

Connecting an AI service is optional. If you do, you use your own account with that company, under its terms and at its prices. We do not control what it does with what you send it. A figure read from a scan is a suggestion: you check it against the paper before it is used.

Fair use

  • Use your license for your own household. Do not sell it, share it publicly, or use it to run a service for others.
  • Do not try to get around the license check, or to break or overload the site.
  • If you help families for a living and want to use the planner with clients, write to us first.

No facility referrals

The fee comes from the family. Care facilities pay nothing, and this product does not recommend facilities or take a placement fee.

Who owns what

Your figures and your plan are yours. The planner, its design, and the guides belong to us. You may print and share your own plan with anyone you like, including your attorney and your family.

The guides

The guides on this site are general education. They describe rules in broad terms, list their sources, and carry the date they were last checked. They are not advice about your situation, and rules change. Links to other sites are there to help you check a source. We do not run those sites.

Limits

The planner is provided as it is. It may contain errors, and it may not be available at every moment. Check the figures against your own statements, and with a professional, before relying on them. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about the planner is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away a right the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes

We may improve the planner, and we may update these terms. The date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed. A change will not take away the re-runs or the refund promise from a license you have already bought.
