There is no call center and no chatbot. One person reads every message and answers it, so a reply can take a day or two.

Please do not send

Statements, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or health records. We never need them to help you, and email is not a safe place for them. Describe the problem in words.

What people write about

A license that has not arrived

Licenses are sent by hand, so they can take some hours. If yours has not arrived by the next day, check your spam folder, then write from the address you paid with.

A refund

Full refund if you cannot finish a report. Write from the address you paid with and say what stopped you.

Help with a step

Say which step you were on and what you were trying to do. A description is enough. Do not attach a statement.

What we cannot help with

We cannot tell you which Medicaid strategy to use, whether your parent qualifies, or which facility to choose. Those are questions for a licensed elder-law attorney, and for the people below, whose help is free.

  • Eldercare Locator, a public service of the U.S. Administration for Community Living, connects families to local services for older adults: eldercare.acl.gov or 1-800-677-1116.
  • Your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) gives one-on-one counseling about Medicare: shiphelp.org or 877-839-2675.
  • Your state's Long-Term Care Ombudsman works to resolve problems for people living in nursing homes and assisted living: theconsumervoice.org/get_help.
  • The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys keeps a public directory of elder-law attorneys: naela.org/FindALawyer.
